Description
Vulcanising cement is used to join rubber components. This adhesive consists of elastic polymers, such as gum arabic or natural rubber, which have been dissolved in a solution of toluene, acetone, benzene, chloroform, or heptane. As the solvent evaporates, the polymers harden to form a bond between the components.
